 A Walk for Suicide Awareness & Prevention

Please join us this year as we are striving to end the silence that can lead to suicide.


Registration starts at 9 am
Opening Ceremony at 10 am
Walk/Run begins at 11 am
Brat Fry, Small Raffle & Silent Auction
Closing Ceremony at 2 pm

Non-competitive 2, 5 & 10 mile walk/run options available



 

Proceeds raised are used by the Delta County Suicide Prevention Task Force for awareness programs in the Delta County community.

 



Registration fees 

$25 per person
$10 per child up to 16 yrs old
$50 for a family of 4; $10 for each additional person
Group rates available
Registration fees are waived with pledges of $50 or more

 Collection of pledges is optional

Pre-registration will secure a requested t-shirt size
T-shirts will be given with paid registration
Tax-exempt contributions are welcomed


Come and see us at the U.P. State Fair, August 13th through 19th. We will have a booth with the Delta County Suicide Prevention Taskforce. If you register at the booth, you will receive your t-shirt with paid registration.

Exciting News:

A new teen and young adult Suicide Survivor's Support group has started.
The group meets 5:30-6:30 pm the fourth Thursday of every month at Bay College - Escanaba, J.Heirman Center, Room 961.

The support group is for anyone who is grieving the loss of a friend or a sibling who has died from suicide and is of high school or college age.

There is no charge to participate and new members are welcome at any time. For more information, please contact Dr.Rosemary Hakes at (906)789-3483
